Annapolis visit with Jennie, Frank, Karen and Fred coming in Winnatou

Yesterday we arrived in Annapolis and today we are suppose to meet up with Jennie and her crew. In the meantime we brought our bikes ashore for a ride.
As we went over Spa Creek bridge we could see hundreds of racing type boats.
On the Edgewater side there is a fuel dock that I have always liked the looks of the building
At the Nautical Museum they have a miniature Thomas Lighthouse that is near Annapolis.
Old man looking at the back side. That addition looking part is probably the poop deck.
The Museum has a ready to go Skipjack. These boats can not have motors in them, instead what looks like a dingy on the back is a "mule". It has a large motor that they use to push the skipjack.

We knew Fred must be getting close, his favorite kind of mushrooms were blooming.
When we got back we could see our boat from the dock.
To the left of our boat was Fred's boat, we knew he was close. Jennie and crew just came in from Baltimore.
We did the tour, and stopped by St. Anne's Episcopal Church  Were we saw this story. The Lectern that is shown below.
It is sitting at the front of the church and is highly polished.
The view from the church down the hill to the harbor is fantastic.
Our "Mast Confusion" and Jennie's "Winnetou" on their mooring balls.
The "Saint Mary's" from the muesum at St Mary's City is visiting Annapplis
Another view of our two boats.
Early morning before sunrise and Winnetou is resting quietly.
Sun is coming up to start another beautiful day.
Had to share another one.

Last day with our friend Jennie and New York City

We traveled back to Times square on our way to Broadway.
This is a pic of my ticket, yes that is $169 for the ticket.
Pic of the stage, of course you can not take pictures during the performance.
 Cool wooden lion.
It was very good show, glad we splurged.
You can see how they are streaching the parking area. They stack them and mover them around.
The wind is up and the sailboat is going fast with just one sail.
As we wait for the ferry on the New York side of the Hudson, the sun is setting on The Jersey side.
The sailboat is going up the Hudson.
A last pic of the the Statue of Liberty before we go home to Ohio and then to Maryland.

Jennie is headed south with her boat with a new crew. We pray for their safety and good sailing.

We probably will not post every day for a while, but you are welcome to come back and check to see what we are up to.

We hope to meet with Jennie in the Chesapeake where we keep our boat just south of Annapolis.

A day in New York City

Let it go, Let it go
A view from Liberty Island State Park toward NYC.
 Brooklyn Bridge across the Hudson.
Nice pic of Statue of Liberty, we did a number of them.

Liberty Island State Park has a nice walk.
Three great ladies.
Old man with a big head.
Train station that would take immigrants that passed through Ellis Island and would catch a train to other locations.
 Another list of train departures.
 Cool picture at sunset.
 Inside the station.
This picture shows what the area was like before they made the park.
Here it is after they started to make it a Park.
There was another canal that was built before the Erie called the Morris Canal.
This would be the train most of us would use to get home.
Twin towers memorial. The beams are actual ones from the building and the two walls have all of the names of the people that perished.
We are on the ferry to take us to the Wall Street dock.
We have tickets to go to the observatory in the One World Trade Center.
 It is very tall.
Wow does it touch the clouds.
The ride was actually 46 seconds. There are TV screens all around you as you go up.
Statue of Liberty is in miniature up here.
Ellis Island, the bridge that you see was not there when it was being used for immigration.
 Another pic.
 Governor's Island.
 Our marina.
 Looking up the Hudson.
 Empire State Building.
 Brooklyn Bridge.
 East River

 Another pic of Brooklyn Bridge.
Mall that we walked through from the One World Trade Center.
 Quite impressive.
At Times Square we had to go here for Chris.

 We missed the show.
Times Square is fun, look at the camera.
 The Statute was waving.
 Cool place to visit.
Thought this sign about the Active door was funny. Day one has been good in NYC, Tomorrow we are going to see a Broadway Show.
