If you ever come to Wytheville you have to have a hotdog at Skeeter's
I had two with the works and Becky had one with mustard. Very good
George Wythe was the first of the signers of the Declaration of Independence. Wytheville is named after him.
This museum is called "Great Lakes to Florida Highway Museum" It is full of info and old gas pumps
President Wilson' s wife, Edith Bolling Wilson, was born in Wytheville on the second story above Skeeter's. A Hotel with her name on it is downtown. Now it is a Museum and you will notice skeletons climbing.
This is the largest pencil we have ever seen and it is part of the draw (tourist attraction)to Wytheville.
We traveled to West Wind Farm Vineyard and Winery.
Very pretty grounds and the wines were good. They are high enough to grow grapes used in dryer wines.
On Saturday we drove up Walker Mountain. It was rainy and foggy. You can go up the tower for a view, but there wasn't much point today.
Look closely and you can see two people that did make the climb.
We are just starting to get some color. We are suppose to travel to Asheville and then to Savannah, but because of the hurricane we may have to change our plans. Compared to the inconvenience and issue that those that live there are dealing with we have no problems.
