Mast Confusion is leaving Maryland on the 26th of September. She will be on a semi-truck from a company just across the creek.Today is the first of many steps. The mast must be removed.
One of the last pics that show the boat whole.
The Marina men come to get her to prepare for the operation.
We are heading down to the operating slip.
The crane is waiting.
First the Stainless Steel Arch must be removed.
Up and away.
They will put it behind the black fence to be picked up later.
Steve the rigger is going up with the crane.
He is attaching the loop on the mast. He does not have a safety line.
He just climbs down the rigging.
Up goes the mast, it was moved to a lot where we will prepare it to be put on the truck under the boat.
So Mast Confusion is just Confusion now.
In 11 days Confusion will be loaded for her trip north.
Poor thing. I hope she makes the trip safely. Will you be following her in the van?
